At Electricspares, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We have a straightforward 30-day returns policy and aim to make the process as simple as possible.

This policy explains how you can return items, your rights to a refund, and how we handle exchanges.

How to Return an Item

We offer a convenient and flexible returns process using Royal Mail. You can choose to drop off your parcel or have it collected from your home, with no printer required.

  1. Start Your Return Online: Visit our dedicated Royal Mail returns portal to begin:

    On the portal, you can create a returns label to print at home, or generate a QR code if you don’t have a printer.
  2. Package Your Item: Please package the item securely, ideally in its original packaging, and include a copy of your invoice inside.
  3. Choose How to Send It Back:
    • Arrange a Collection: Follow the instructions on the Royal Mail portal to book a collection from your address on a day that suits you. The postie can even bring the label for you if you don’t have a printer.
    • Drop It Off: Take your packaged item to any Post Office or Royal Mail Customer Service Point. You can either show them the QR code on your phone for them to print the label, or attach the label you printed at home.

Always keep your proof of postage reciept until your refund has been processed.


Returns for Unwanted Items (Your Right to Change Your Mind)

If you change your mind, you can return your item to us for a full refund within 30 days of receiving your order.

Conditions for Unwanted Item Returns:

  • Items must be in an unused, original condition, and in a re-saleable state.
  • Please note, spare parts that have been installed or fitted to an appliance cannot be returned as unwanted items.
  • You are responsible for the cost of return postage. If you use our Royal Mail pre-paid label service for an unwanted item, a fee of £4.99 will be deducted from your total refund amount. Alternatively, you may arrange and pay for your own return postage to the address below.

Returns for Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

We take great care in despatching our orders, but if you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, we are here to help.

  1. Contact Us First: Before returning the item, please inform us via our Contact Us page. Describe the issue and include your order number. This helps us to resolve the issue for you as quickly as possible.
  2. Use Our Free Returns Service: For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, we cover the cost of return postage. Please use our Royal Mail returns portal to generate a free pre-paid label. We will not deduct the postage fee from your refund in this case.

Important Note on Testing: All items returned as “faulty” are tested by our technical team. If an item is found to be fully functional, the return will be treated as an “unwanted item”. In this scenario, the return postage cost of £4.99 will be deducted from your refund.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Processing Time: If approved, your refund will be processed promptly. A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, typically within a few business days. Please allow up to 14 days from us receiving the item for the refund to be completed, especially during busy periods.
  • Deductions: For unwanted items, we reserve the right to make a deduction from your refund for any loss in value of the goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you (e.g., the item is returned damaged, used, or with parts missing).

Exchanges

We are happy to replace items that are defective or damaged with an exact replacement.

  • Faulty Items: If you need to exchange a faulty item for the same item, please let us know when you contact us via our Contact Us page.
  • Different Products: We do not typically offer exchanges for different products. If you wish to receive a different item, we recommend returning the original item for a refund and placing a new order.
